The Growing Project CIC is a community business based in Pensilva,Cornwall.
Behind Kenwyn is a site of about 1 acre, bequeathed by Ruth Wilson for The Growing Project to continue the good work she started. It is in the center of a large village and includes polytunnels, raised beds, sheds and accommodation.
The Growing Project grows vegetables to an organic standard and buys organic standard produce from local suppliers. Many of our volunteers gain therapeutically by volunteering; some have been referred to us specifically for help, others just turn up. Our core purpose is growing people. In fact several of our directors originally came to us for help and are now running the place.
We have a fantastic team of volunteers, who have made all this possible. They include:
Colin, Karensa, Mike, Michael, Chris, Arthur, Matthew, Erica, Debra, Kirsty and Louise.
We could not do this without you; many many thanks to you all.
Most of our directors contribute their time on a voluntary basis.
